A student in my class is in a Guide Browsing session that I did not initiate Follow
If a student in your class is stuck in a Guide Browsing Focus Session or Filter Sessions you didn’t initiate, it usually means another teacher forgot to release them. You can quickly end the session for all students or release individuals.
Problem
It is likely a previous teacher has failed to release the student from an already existing Guide Browsing session. You will see the message that "Some students are currently in a guided session."
Note: If you are the teacher who initiated the session, the target icon will NOT be yellow, designating the difference.
Solution
- Click End session to end the session for all students in the class.
- To release a student individually, click on the yellow target.
- You will be prompted to verify that you want to release the students that are in a Guided Browsing session initiated by another teacher. Click Release from focus (or filter) session.
