Domain management overview
Your Hāpara instance is set up on your student Google Workspace domain or subdomain. If your school faculty, staff and students are on different Google Workspace domains, Hāpara needs a way to authorize these domains.
Example of domain setup with separate staff/student domains:
Student domain: student@student.example.com
Staff domain: staff@example.com
Domain management allows you to add an alternate domain to allow staff members to access Teacher Dashboard.
Adding an alternate domain
Follow the steps below to add an alternate domain:
1. Navigate to 'User permissions' from the Hāpara Admin Console home page.
2. Click 'Domain management' from the options provided.
3. Click the '+ Add alternative domain' button.
4. Enter the alternate domain in the field provided and click 'Save.'
Editing/removing an alternate domain
After you have added an alternate domain, this can be edited at any time by clicking the pencil icon next to the domain field.
Once you make the necessary changes, click the 'Save' button.
Removing an alternate domain will remove access to the Hāpara Dashboard for any user within the domain.
To remove an alternate domain, follow the steps below:
1. Click the 'x' icon next to the domain you would like to remove.
2. A confirmation pop-up will appear, click 'Remove domain.'
