Hapara Dashboard: Class Info Tab Follow

The Class Info tab lists a classes current teachers, learners and can help teachers manage their class information:

 


 

Add Co-teachers

This feature needs to be enabled by your school's Hapara Administrator. 

If enabled, teachers will be able to select "Add new" from the Teachers section to add co-teachers to the class.

Add learners to the class

This feature needs to be enabled by your school's Hapara Administrator.

If enabled, teachers will be able to select "Add new" from the Learners section to add learners the class. Multiple learners can be added in a comma separated list as the screenshot below:

Remove learners from the class

This feature needs to be enabled by your school's Hapara Administrator.

If enabled, teachers will be able to remove learners from the class. Multiple learners can be selected at once for removal:

  1. Tick the learners you wish to remove
  2. Click the red 'Remove' on the right hand side
  3. Select 'Yes, Remove' if you're sure you want to remove these students

Reset learner Passwords

This feature needs to be enabled by your school's Hapara Administrator.

If enabled, a teacher can change learner passwords from Class Info page by:

  1. Selecting the learner(s) by ticking the checkbox, left of their name
  2. Clicking 'Reset Password' up the top right
  3. Typing a new password into the text box, or leaving the generic password listed
  4. Clicking the 'Reset password' box below

We recommend selecting 'Force learners to pick their own password on their next login' so learners can pick their own password.

 

Send and email to the class

Teachers can email an entire class directly from Teacher Dashboard by using the 'Email Class' button. Alternatively, they can send an email to the class mailbox to email all learners in the class. In the example below englishlit9p2-1415@school.hapara.com is the class mailbox.

 

Access the Class Folder in Google Drive

Teachers can open their class folder in Google Drive by clicking 'Open Class Folder'.

Hapara Users can also locate Hapara created folders in the Shared with Me section of Drive:

  • If a Hapara user searches for owner:school.apps.owner, this will display all folders created for Hapara Teacher Dashboard.
  • Teachers can then narrow down the search results by adding the class name or student name to the search. Eg: 'owner:school.apps.owner Room 1'

Generate a list of learners

The Learners section of the Class Info page allows teachers to copy the Email addresses of selected learners in the class to their clipboard by using the Copy option.

To Copy Learners:

  1. Tick the checkbox next to the learners you want to copy.  To copy the email addresses of the entire class, select the checkbox at the top of the Learners list.
  2. Select the Copy option.
  3. Click the Copy to Clipboard button.

Fix folder/doc errors or locate missing folders

Occasionally, teachers may encounter an error with a folder or student doc in Hapara Dashboard, or a folder may seem missing from Google Drive.

In the first instance, we recommend clicking the Reset class folders link from Class Info and waiting up to 5 minutes before refreshing any screens.
