Copying cards and sections overview
You can copy cards and sections to a clipboard in Workspace to reuse within the same Workspace, or to bring over to another Workspace.
This is a great way to create consistent visuals, directions and more between your Workspaces.
Once you have added cards or sections to the Workspace clipboard, the clipboard will be available wherever you are – even if you move to another Workspace. Cards and sections will remain on the clipboard until you log out of Workspace. To remove the clipboard, click clear all to remove all of the cards and sections. The clipboard will disappear until you copy something else.
The clipboard is local to the device you are using, so if you copy cards to the clipboard while on your laptop, you will not see them when you log into Workspace on your desktop.
Please note, because each column in a Workspace has its own rules for how it functions, cards cannot be copied between columns. If you copy a card from the first column, it will always be added to the first column.
Copying Workspace cards
To add a card to your clipboard, open the three dot menu on the card and click Copy to clipboard.
If you did not previously have anything on the clipboard, the clipboard will appear in the top right corner of your Workspace. You can move the clipboard around on your screen as needed.
You can copy multiple cards at a time, and they will be added to the clipboard in the Cards tab.
To add a card to a Workspace from the clipboard, navigate to the clipboard. Click where it says Copied to clipboard to expand the list of copied cards.
You can add one or more cards from your clipboard into your Workspace by clicking the Add (+) icon next to the title of the card that you would like to add.
Cards will be added to the top of the Workspace, in the same column they were copied from. You can drag and drop to move them within the same column as needed.
Copying Workspace sections
To add a section to your clipboard, hover over the section bar and click the clipboard icon.
If you did not previously have anything on the clipboard, the clipboard will appear in the top right corner of your Workspace. You can move the clipboard around on your screen as needed.
When you copy a section, all of the cards in that section will be added to the clipboard. You can copy multiple sections at a time.
To add a section to a Workspace, navigate to the clipboard. Click where it says Copied to clipboard to expand the clipboard. Click on the Sections tab to show the list of copied sections.
You can add one or more sections from your clipboard into your Workspace by clicking the Add (+) icon next to the title of the section that you would like to add.
Sections will be added to the bottom of the Workspace and all cards will remain in the columns they originated in. You can move sections up and down in your Workspace as needed.
