How to copy cards and sections in Workspace Follow
This article helps teachers quickly reuse existing cards and sections in Hāpara Workspace using the clipboard.

You can copy Workspace cards and sections to a clipboard, then paste them into the same Workspace or a different Workspace. Use the three-dot menu (for cards) or the clipboard icon (for sections) to copy, then open the clipboard and click Add (+) next to what you want to paste.
Copying cards and sections overview
The Workspace clipboard lets you temporarily store and reuse content:
You can copy individual cards or whole sections.
Copied cards and sections can be reused in the same Workspace or another Workspace.
Cards can only be pasted back into the same column type they were copied from.
Cards appear at the top of their original column when pasted.
Sections appear at the bottom of the Workspace when pasted, and cards stay in their original columns.
The clipboard is available while you stay signed in on that device.
The clipboard is device-specific. If you copy on one device (for example, a laptop), you will not see that clipboard on another device.
To clear everything, click “Clear all” on the clipboard. The clipboard will disappear until you copy something again.
Important: Because each column in a Workspace has its own rules and behavior, cards cannot be copied between columns. A card copied from the first column will always paste back into the first column.
Copying Workspace cards
To add a card to your clipboard, open the three dot menu on the card and click Copy to clipboard.
If you did not previously have anything on the clipboard, the clipboard will appear in the top right corner of your Workspace. You can move the clipboard around on your screen as needed.
You can copy multiple cards at a time, and they will be added to the clipboard in the Cards tab.
To add a card to a Workspace from the clipboard, navigate to the clipboard. Click where it says Copied to clipboard to expand the list of copied cards.
You can add one or more cards from your clipboard into your Workspace by clicking the Add (+) icon next to the title of the card that you would like to add.
Cards will be added to the top of the Workspace, in the same column they were copied from. You can drag and drop to move them within the same column as needed.
Copying Workspace sections
To add a section to your clipboard, hover over the section bar and click the clipboard icon.
If you did not previously have anything on the clipboard, the clipboard will appear in the top right corner of your Workspace. You can move the clipboard around on your screen as needed.
When you copy a section, all of the cards in that section will be added to the clipboard. You can copy multiple sections at a time.
To add a section to a Workspace, navigate to the clipboard. Click where it says Copied to clipboard to expand the clipboard. Click on the Sections tab to show the list of copied sections.
You can add one or more sections from your clipboard into your Workspace by clicking the Add (+) icon next to the title of the section that you would like to add.
Sections will be added to the bottom of the Workspace and all cards will remain in the columns they originated in. You can move sections up and down in your Workspace as needed.
Additional tips
Use copied cards to keep instructions and success criteria consistent across multiple Workspaces.
Create a “template” section with common instructions and resources, then copy that section into new Workspaces to save time.
If the clipboard disappears, it usually means you have logged out or cleared all. Copy a new card or section to make it reappear.
