Shared device best practices (optional) Follow
If students share devices, Hāpara recommends adding additional G Suite for Education domain policies to prevent stored user profile conflicts. Hāpara recommends using the Ephemeral Mode so that the user profile (including extension) is installed on login and deleted immediately on logout/closure of last open tab.
This policy can be applied to users or devices, but:
- It works differently for different device types i.e. policy enforced by user only works on Mac/Windows/Linux; it is ignored on a Chromebook.
- Enforcing this policy on devices requires a Chrome Management license for each device.
