Hāpara Hall Pass: Overview and getting started Follow
Hāpara Hall Pass is a digital way to manage student movement during the school day. Students request a pass, staff approve it, and everyone can see who is out of class, where they are headed, and how long they have been gone. It replaces paper passes with a live, accurate record.

How Hall Pass works at a glance:
1. A student requests a pass, or a staff member creates one for them.
2. If the pass needs approval, it stays Pending until a staff member approves or denies it. Some passes are set to approve automatically.
3. Once approved, the pass becomes Active and a timer starts.
4. When the student returns, the pass must be ended — by the student or a staff member. Otherwise a late or not-returned status will appear.
5. Every pass is saved in History so staff and students can review activity.
Good to know
- What students and staff can see and do depends on how your school has set up Hall Pass and on each person's role.
- If you do not see Hall Pass where you expect it, your school may not have enabled it for your account. Check with your school IT administrator.
