Record: Enable recording of student browsing history for your domain Follow
This article helps administrators turn on the Record feature so teachers can capture students’ browsing activity during class in Hāpara Highlights.
Availability: Gradual rollout and not available to all customers immediately.

Quick steps
Turn on Record in the Hāpara Admin Console at Settings → Highlights (Screens) → Student browsing history → Yes. After you enable it, teachers will see a Record button in Highlights.
Steps to follow (for administrators)
Log in to the Hāpara Admin Console.
Go to Settings → Highlights (Screens).
Scroll to Student browsing history and toggle to Yes to enable.

(Recommended) Notify teachers that the Record button will appear in Highlights after the setting is enabled.
Additional tips
Privacy & policy: Confirm your district’s privacy policy permits capturing browsing history and that teachers inform students when recording is active.
Change management: Include the enablement in back-to-school checklists and send a short “what’s new” note to staff.
Audit trail: Coordinate with your IT/security lead on retention and access procedures for recorded data.
