BETA Class View overview
The new Class View tab is located on the lefthand side of the white toolbar in Highlights.
Class View combines the commonly used Browser Tabs and Current Screens views to make it even easier to check on students' browsing progress. This tab has:
- An option to switch between Browser Tabs and Current Screens
- A visible Guide browsing bar that shows running sessions
- An updated Guide browsing menu
Browser Tabs/Current Screens tile switch
From the Class View tab, there is a button that allows you to switch between Browser tabs and Current Screens. The Student Tile information will update with the option you choose.
Current Screens view
The option on the right shows Current Screens, which displays a screenshot of of the tab the student is currently viewing.
Browser Tabs view
The option on the left shows Browser Tabs, which lists recent URLs students have visited.
Note: The Class View tab will always default to Current Screens.
Guide browsing bar
The Class View tab displays a Guide browsing bar above the Student Tiles. This bar will show you whether or not you have guided browsing sessions running.
If no students are in a session, you will see the message "No active guided browsing" with an option to start a session.
If any students in the class are in a guided browsing session, you will see a blue-green bar indicating the number of active guided sessions running, with the option to review or release the students.
Clicking Review will allow you to see details of the current sessions, as well as the option to end a session.
Guide browsing menu update
In the Class View tab, when you click on the Guide browsing button, the menu will have an updated look.
The new menu allows you to easily navigate Focus and Filter options, as well as clearly see a list of guided browsing templates you have created.
My Templates also includes a blue + Template button that allows you to quickly create, start and/or schedule sessions.
Quickly identify which guided browsing templates are Focus Sessions or Filter Sessions by the icons displayed:
