How are resources added to my school/district library?
Your school Hāpara administrator is able to designate certain people within your organization as digital resource managers. Digital resource managers are responsible for populating the Our Library tab in the Hāpara Digital Backpack. Your digital resource managers could be a designated curriculum team, your library media specialist(s), or department heads - it’s really up to your school’s administrators who is given this role.
Can I add a resource to my school/district library?
Only digital resource managers have permission to add resources to the Our Library tab. If you have a resource that you would like to make available to your entire school/district in this tab, reach out to your digital resource manager(s) to request it be added.
How do I save a resource without assigning it?
If you come across a resource that you would like to save, but you are not ready to share it with students yet, you can star the resource to save it in your My Resources tab.
Can I schedule when my students see a resource in their backpack?
At this time, you are not able to schedule access to resources. If you find a resource that you would like to assign to students at a later date, you can star the resource to save it in the My Resources tab, then share it to a class when you are ready for students to access it.
Can I share a resource with individual students?
At this time, you can only share resources to a full class at once. If you would like to assign individual students or groups of students to work with a specific resource, we recommend creating an assignment in Google Classroom or card in Workspace and providing individuals with instructions on which resources to use.
