Deledao ActiveScan, presented by Hāpara: Filtering Chrome on Windows devices Follow
In this article:
Overview
There are two ways to filter content for Windows devices — via Google Workspace with the Chrome extension or via the content filtering proxy.
The Chrome browser on a Windows device can be managed by pushing the Chrome extension via Google Workspace. However, the Deledao proxy can also be installed on Windows devices to filter content for all browsers.
Both the Deledao proxy and the Chrome extension can be installed on the same machine and work together. By default, when the Chrome extension detects a proxy existing on the machine, the extension will take over the filtering within Chrome. Other browsers such as Firefox or Edge will continue using the proxy for filtering. If administrators would like to stop using the extension in Chrome on Windows, they can check the option "Use Chrome extension to filter Chromebooks only".
Content filtering using extension
If you would like to filter Chrome only by using the Deledao ActiveScan, presented

- Restart Chrome to get the new policy.
Content filtering using proxy

- Go to Configuration > Global Settings.
- Enable the option Use Chrome extension to filter Chromebooks only.
