Student Dashboard Overview Follow
On any given school day, learners navigate between multiple digital tools and this can cause confusion, lost instructional time and apathy. At Hāpara, we're on a mission to empower learners in taking control of their learning, increasing student agency and promoting digital citizenship.
The first step of that mission is to consolidate the digital tools they have to access into one, convenient, mobile-friendly platform.
Hāpara Student Dashboard is a powerful tool that gives learners one-click access to work, notifications and resources from Google Classroom, Google Drive and Hāpara tools all in a single convenient page.
Learners can access Student Dashboard directly from: https://mystudentdashboard.com
Student Dashboard functionalities
Learners are able to view all of the following information in one, centralized hub:
When learners first log in to the Student Dashboard, they are directed to the Workspaces tab. Here, they can see all of the Workspaces they have been assigned by all of their teachers.
Learners can filter their view to see Workspaces from just one class at a time by clicking on "All my classes" and selecting a class from the list.
In the To do tab, learners see a running list of assignments from their Workspace evidence cards and from Google Classroom.
Assignments are prioritized by due date with late or overdue assignments at the top, followed by assignments that are due soon.
Clicking on a Workspace assignment will bring the learner to that evidence card in the Workspace. Clicking on a Google Classroom assignment will open the assignment in a new tab.
Learners can filter this view to see just the assignments from one class, and they can choose to look at just overdue work, work with due dates, or just work that does not have a due date.
My files tab
The My files tab gives learners easy access to their Google Drives. From here, they can view files that have been shared with them, or view their recent files.
Clicking on a file card will open that file in a new tab.
Clicking on the bell in the top right corner will open the student's notifications. Here, they can see Google Classroom announcements, recently assigned work, recently returned work, recent grades, and emails from their teachers.
Learners can view all of their notifications at once in a stream, or choose to filter their view by type of assignment.
Learners have the option to personalize their dashboards by changing the background color. To do this, they just need to click on their avatar and select a color.
