Troubleshooting Focused Browsing Follow

Within Hapara Highlights, the Focused Browsing tool allows teachers to initiate sessions in which students can only access certain websites. This powerful tool can aid in student learning and focus, and give teachers more time to teach rather than monitor student activity.

However, because Focused Browsing relies on steady internet connection with many devices at once, there are occasionally times when students are disconnected with Highlights. Because of this, we have created a very easy way for teachers to quickly report problems with student connections during Focused Browsing sessions.

To report a problem with Focused Browsing, teachers should take the following steps:

1. On a student tile that is not accurately displaying a Focused Browsing session, first click the exclamation point icon to the right of the student's name. A screen will pop up asking for a description of the problem.

2. Type a brief description of the problem.

3. Hit Send.

Once you hit Send, the description and all other relevant information will be automatically sent tou our support team. Our team will analyze the issue and reach out via email with any additional troubleshooting steps or questions.
