Highlights extension URL update (Jun 2024) Follow

We are making additional updates to the Hāpara Highlights extension and kindly request that you update your Highlights extension configuration.

Please note that these tasks can only be performed by a Google Super Administrator, as this requires access to your school's G-Suite Admin Console:

Additionally, please ensure the Google policy update to enable Manifest V2 has been completed.

Follow the steps outlined in the video below or scroll down to see written instructions with screenshots:

1. Open admin.google.com as a Google Super Admin.
2. Navigate to Devices > Chrome > Apps and Extensions.
   
   
   
3. Click Users and Browsers.
   
4. Select your student OU.
5. Click the Highlights Extension ID: aceopacgaepdcelohobicpffbbejnfac:
   
   
6. Scroll down to find the Installation URL and update this to include your student domain on the end: https://extension.hapara.com/extension/updates/studentdomain.
   
   Example: https://extension.hapara.com/extension/updates/school.hapara.com
   
   What is my student domain? Your student domain is where your students are set up on your Google Workspace. A simple way to confirm this is the ending of your student email addresses. Eg: in student@school.hapara.com, school.hapara.com is the student domain.
   
   
   
7. Ensure that the Update URL option is set to Installation URL (see above).

8. Click Save in the top right-hand corner.

9. Ensure the Google policy update to enable Manifest V2 has been completed.
