Blocked site alert subscriptions overview

When using Deledao ActiveScan, presented by Hāpara, as an administrator, you may want to be alerted when a student tries to access a website in a blocked category. While you can see these blocked sites in web filter reports, you may want those notices delivered directly to your inbox so you can investigate them promptly.

Creating blocked alert recipient

To create an alert recipient and decide which categories will trigger the alert, navigate to Configuration > Alert Subscriptions > Create Alert.

In the alert subscription configuration, you must give the alert a name and determine:

• Alert frequency - Choose Real-time, Daily, or Weekly alert to determine how often you would like to get the alert.
• Email - Select the email address of the person who will be getting the email alert.
• Filter categories - Select the categories that should trigger the notification if site access is attempted.

Click Save.

The new alert is listed and other alerts can be created by repeating the process.

Blocked alert email notification

When there is an attempt to access a site in one of the alert categories, the site will be blocked and an email to the alert recipient will be sent.  To investigate the alert in detail, refer to the web filter Reports based on the user and date and time range.
