Hāpara Analytics supported attributes overview
Hāpara Analytics provides insights into your institute’s G Suite usage with options allowing you to refine the graphs using teacher and student attributes (i.e. school, gender or grade). The Load from CSV method allows you to load any of these attributes. This method is available on the Hāpara Admin Console > Modules > Analytics page.
Note: The main purpose of this method is to import student and teacher attributes. But this method can also be used to import new teachers and students. Read more about this here.
For multi-school institutes, Hāpara Analytics allows the teacher and student graphs to be refined by school.
For all institutes, Hāpara Analytics allows the student graphs to be refined using these student attributes:
- Grade
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- English Language Learner status
- Free and Reduced Lunch status
- Individualized Education Program status

How to import student attributes from a CSV file
The Hāpara Admin Console > Modules > Analytics page includes a section called Load Students from a CSV.
The student CSV being loaded must have a column titled Email containing student email addresses. The student CSV can also contain some or all of these columns: School, Gender, Grade, Race, ELL, FRL and IEP. Each column must be titled. For example:
|
School |
Gender |
bill.smith@myschool.com |
ELK |
M |
rob.jones@myschool.com |
ELK |
|
jane.jackson@myschool.com |
|
F |
molly.henderson@myschool.com |
SAN |
M |
As shown in the example above, blank attributes are allowed. The import process ignores (does not import) any blank attributes it finds.
Analytics will start using any newly loaded students and new student attributes the Monday after the data is imported.
Note: For students that have previously been loaded via Hāpara Admin Console > Data Loader for use with Teacher Dashboard, Highlights or Workspace, the student’s school is already known, and can not be modified using this method.
