Google Workspace for Education device settings (optional): step 2 Follow
Disable Guest mode
This is configured in the Google Admin console.
-
Start in your Google Admin console (admin.google.com).
-
Click Devices > Chrome > Settings > Device
-
Click Device settings > Sign-in settings
- Select Disable guest mode.
If either of the two policies in steps one and two are not set as we recommend, a student will be able to:
- Sign in to their device using a guest or non-school account (the extension will not be installed)
- Sign into Google directly, using their school account
Once signed in to Google they can use Google services, but they won’t have the extension installed and won’t appear in Highlights.
